Alexandra (aka Tootie) Alexander is a native of Austin, Texas. She was a 4 year starter on varsity at McNeil High School. She started playing volleyball for Austin Juniors and played on the Mizuno team since the age of 13. She went on to receive a 4 year scholarship to play volleyball at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. She played outside hitter/defensive specialist her freshman year and the remaining 3 years of her college career, she was the starting setter. The most memorable and exciting game of her career is when Tootie led the Trojans to the biggest win in school history by beating Western Kentucky who has made it to the NCAA tournament several times. They were the number one seed and defending champs of the conference tournament and Troy was seeded 8th. Troy made school history and Sun Belt conference history with that win. She graduated from Troy University in May 2014. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Fitness Management with a minor in Leadership. She has worked at the Anderson High School Volleyball camp for 6 years and recently was a camp coach at Texas State University this year. She enjoys her knowledge, experience and love of volleyball to the future generation of young ladies.
