Jared Te’o has been with AJV since 2017 after winning back to back Open National Championships at TAV in 2017(17 Open) and 2016(13 Open).
At AJV he has assisted 18 and 16 Mizuno on the girls side as well as 16 Mizuno on the boys side. He spent time as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for St. Edward’s University here in Austin from 2018-2019 and has continued on as the volunteer assistant coach from 2019 to present.
As an assistant coach at TAV Jared played a key role in helping bring home a gold medal with TAV 17 Black who amassed a record of 102-3, and another gold medal with TAV 13 Black the year prior.
Jared graduated from UT Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. As a player, he has played and medaled in USAV Nationals as a middle blocker and still enjoys traveling around the country to play, as long as his body permits. He is the San Marcos HS Varsity Head Coach and currently resides in Austin, TX with his dog Aristotle(Ari).
