AJV is excited to add another former DI National Champion and AJV alumna to our staff! Lee was born and raised in Austin, Texas. While playing for A. S. Johnston High School she accumulated numerous accolades including All-Central Texas Co-MVP (shared with Director Lindsay Rosenthal) for the 1994-1995 volleyball season. She was also named as one of Volleyball Magazine’s Fab 50 (1995) before graduating later that year. Lee’s efforts as a Lady Ram landed her a full-ride scholarship to California State University Long Beach

While at Long Beach State University (1996-2000) she played on the right side and led her team to the NCAA National Semi-Finals (Final Four) in Spokane, Washington (1997). She was also selected as an American Volleyball Coaches’ Association All-American Honorable Mention (1997). The following season (1998) she led her team in securing the NCAA National Championship title and was a Final Four All-Tournament team selection, while leading the country in hitting percentage for the season. Her 1998 team was the first Division I volleyball team in history to finish a season undefeated with a 36-0 record. Lee was also a First Team All-Conference selection for three seasons (1997, 1998, 1999) and a Long Beach Hall of Fame inductee, an honor she shares with teammate and USA Olympian, Misty May. Lee graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

Lee comes to AJV with a wealth of knowledge and numerous years of successful coaching including 9 years club coaching, 7 years as a Club Director, and 5 years high school varsity head coaching experience. She led the Long Beach State All-Skills Volleyball Camps and Setters’ Camps for elite players. Lee started SKY Athletics developmental volleyball program in 2013, where she served as a Director and head coach for five seasons. Under Lee’s leadership the Lady Bears of Brentwood Christian School saw two Final Four appearances (2014, 2015) and were the 2015 Texas State Champions. She also served two seasons as the varsity head coach at Burnet High School (2016-2018) where the Lady Bulldogs were playoff contenders both seasons under her guidance.

Veronica currently resides in Leader, Texas with her husband, Carmelo, and their four children. Her oldest daughter is currently playing professionally in Greece! Veronica is a Life Fitness and Leadership Teacher at Danielson Middle School.
