Victoria Becerra

Coach Vic has played volleyball for nearly 15years. She played at Magic volleyball club for one year before transferring to Austin Performance Volleyball Club. Throughout her years at AP, she has played on both travel and national teams. Coach Vic also has experience playing beach volleyball. While training at AP, she also got to work with 3x Olympian and silver medalist Stacey Sykora for libero training. Coach Vic was also coached and trained in beach by 3x Olympic gold medalists, Misty May-Treanor. In her high school years, she garnered all district mentions for district 13-6A as well as Team Captain her senior year. After high school, she played at Nicholls State University where she was given the opportunity to be the teams starting libero her freshman year and excelled in the defensive role for her team. Coach Vic has played under and with many talented players and coaches, learning more about the game of volleyball and is looking forward to teaching and training others about the game she loves!
2020-2021 Season: Coached Club for LA Pursue in Louisiana for 2 seasons. While in Louisiana she was the head coach for 14 National. During that season she coached her team to several wins including placing 27th out of 189 teams in the USA division at AAU Nationals.
2021-2022 Season: During her second season as a head coach, she finished 1st in 3 or more tournaments and 2nd at the Battle of the Bay tournament in Alabama. She also assisted the 13s National Team coaching them to their first tournament win in their season.
After 6 years away from home, Coach Vic moved home and is currently working full time as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens. Coach Vic has 2 siblings who have both played at AJV. Her brother, Matthew Becerra, is playing in his 6th season for AJV Boys. Her sister Alicia Becerra also played at AJV and is currently playing in her 4th season at Hardin Simmons University.
